    New the BMW World

    Hey guys, first post.

So I had my motorcycle stolen on Monday (ZX10R) after moving to Seattle. I really don't want to get another bike to ride for the next month and then have it sit for the winter.

So after some poking I stumbled upon the E30. I haven't had my own car in 4+ years, only had bikes. I was really worried that for the money im getting for the bike I couldn't find something that would make me as happy but alas i was wrong.

Im looking to spend 3k for my first E30, I really like the 89 325i. Ive seen a few for that price that look pretty decent. I dont want to have to do any major body work as I dont have a garage atm.

After my initial 3k I would have another 1k to make it right. Fix any minor issues or complete any mods. Im not afraid to get dirty. Last winter in completely tore down my bike, removed engine and all.

So to wrap up, just wanted to say hi, im new and cant wait to join the ranks of E30 owners!:D

If you look hard enough you should be able to find a very well sorted E30 for $3k. Good call on the $1k for preventative maintenance. That is, by far, the best thing you can do for an E30. Keep your eyes open and good luck!

Honestly I built it just to have a place to sit and listen to Hotline Bling on repeat.

Yeah I'm pretty excited about my budget. Do you have any other recommendation for where to hunt? Im already checking craigslist and the E30 forums. Anything im missing?

3K is a good number for a nice e30. Thats what I paid for mine in 2008 and it only had 28,xxx miles on it! Welcome, take your time to find the best candidate and good luck!
