welcome to the forum and i also feel your love for the XJ.
my current XJ is is bone stock but i have and OLD MAN EMU 2" lift setup waiting to be installed.

its been a while for me but i seriously cant wait to go wheeling this fall ;D

Very nice. :-) I'm running 245/75 r16 on 3.5in RE lift. I like the stance and it is capable for what I use it for. (Blazing up mountains in winter to go skiing)

I just hope it won't rust out from under me anytime soon. Looking forward to pics of your E30.

Judging by your location I wouldn't worry about that! THe floor might gain a hole or two but they don't rust too bad out west.

Smart man! With the Ford 8.8 rear end, alloy axle shafts up front and 33's it's pretty bulletproof now.

That's exactly what happened to me. I had 2" on my JK, still got tired of calling my friends for help in the swampy terrain down here. At least it didn't go fast enough to get a ticket...

I have a locker in the front, and limited slip rear.....stuck usually isn't the issue.

Nice to see another xj driver. I just have a 3" lift with 32 BFG ATs on mine, not much else done but love it. This is my 4th xj and 3rd e30

Neverending. Once it gets caged I'm not gonna do too much else to it for the time being. I point it anywhere and it goes pretty well, even with only 3" of lift. Next year I'm going to spend a lot of time honing my on road driving skills. Been spending a lot of time the last 6 years paying with jeeps. I'm not bored of it just want to do other stuff too.

Was going to post this... Go for H&R race. Good rake and a progressive spring. With e90 drop hats you'll be sitting pretty in no time.

Cup kit for 190s sits even lower and they even bottom out the kit shocks. Not pleasant.

I'll look into that, once my neon sells and I get home from Utah I'm going to order suspension for it.

Edit: Turner motorsports has a bilstein/h&r race spring combo for like $40 more than the touring kit...

you probably want to pass on the H&R cup kit. Its very soft and very low. i dont think anybody who bought that kit ever kept it on their e30.

Thanks man! You know, really I wasn't a vert fan either....then my buddy let me drive the vert for about an hour and I loved it even after it tried to kill me by swapping ends! Plans include an H&R touring cup kit and staggered black 16" esm 007's as well as a lip for the trunk lid.

you probably want to pass on the H&R cup kit. Its very soft and very low. i dont think anybody who bought that kit ever kept it on their e30.
