    Is this a fair price?

First Post! Thanks for your patience. I've owned 2 bimmers. My first was an E36 318IC automatic, which I sold. I loved it for being a vert, but it had no balls. I currently own an e39 530i automatic, which is my wife's DD. I'm selling my civic and looking into E30's for my self. It will be my DD. My logic is that I can get rid of my civic for about 5k, pick up and e30 for 2.5k-3.5k and have some cash left over for anything that needs done on the e30. Prices on e30's here in Michigan seem to based much more on how much the seller likes their car and not what it's 'worth'. That said, I'm new to the e30 market place and would like your thoughts on whether or not the car list below is fairly priced. I've driven it, check for rust on the strut and shock mounts, and all seems to be fine. The seller has some receipts but I haven't looked at them to see what the previous owner did to it. The tires are ridiculous, but other than that, it's pretty sharp. Oh, also, the sunroof is a bit wonky. It shows signs of rust in the track area but allegedly doesn't leak. Please advise.

I bought a rust free Florida coupe for 800$. It needed a cleaning and a little maintenance type stuff but its a solid car. Runs drives stops, Everything works. Interior needs some love but overall I think it was a deal. I'm in no way knocking the car that you are looking at but if you spent 1000-1500 you would have quite a bit of dough left over. For say a s52 swap! ;)

That's in amazing shape for MI too. A rust free car is like gold up there.
