Cost to ship m-tech 1 kit

Hi: I am trying to get an m-tech 1 kit from Europe/England to be exact. Is it normal for these kits to cost 800.00 usa dollars to ship, or is there some cheap way to get them over here without costing more than the kit? I thought someone on here that has shipped parts from England or Germany could give me the name of a company that ships over there that might be cheaper???
    thanks for any help,
    jm

i have a better idea that should cost half that amount. google parcels2go.com. they buy extra space at a discount from fedex/ups/dhl. there are some great discounts.

That's exactly how much I paid when I had one shipped.

Just paid almost $200 for shipping on an MTech 2 wing from the UK. Got a quote from DHL for $350 to ship and Mtech2 rear bumper alone from Germany so $800 for a full kit sounds about right. It sucks it cost this much but Germany has size restrictions on parcels, anything somewhat big needs to be shipped via freight.

Thanks for all the good information. I will look into some of these ideas; hope I can get the shipping for half!!!; that would be great.

I had a whole kit shipped over for £200 in 2 parcels, but the seller was a breaker and familiar with how to arrange shipping for this much. I have no idea how he did it.

                  thanks for the input

Yeh, I think the package is oversize. Once I tried to ship a spoiler and the price was crazy high until I cut about 3 inches off each end of the box:).
                  thanks,

Keep in mind it is also more expensive I've found to get shipments here. Being in the middle of the continent kinda makes international shipping higher. I had three tech1 sets fall through before I finally paid a whole bunch to buy one from the US that was more expensive, but shipped for about $200 to me. Granted I spent more than I've spent on the three e30's and e36 m3 combined, but yeah.

LOL. Yeah, I was just over the "labor hours" I was putting in on trying to get one, and just wanted it done with.

I paid something like $1100 shipped for my Mtech 1 front and rear + front euro bumper DHL express from the UK. There are deals to be had, just need to find them and a bloke willing to ship.
