Newbie with Mega Squirt Q's

hey guys I'm new to the Forum

I am building an e30 for NASA GT racing. I have decided on a megasquirt ms3 extra. I have a rebuilt M50 vanos motor I'm dropping in.

Uhm... yes. It's kind of one of those things, if you have to ask then you're not ready for it. If it's built correctly, installed correctly and tuned correctly...then it's good. I did megasquirt n spark (v2 i think, it was years ago) on an old VW Jetta 16v. It was a fun project, but it was a massive learning experience as well. If you're not prepared to dig in and understand the concepts behind what it's doing and how to make it do what you want, then you're asking for a major headache. No matter what someone tries to sell you, standalone fuel management is not for the faint of heart, even if they'll "give you a good tune".
