There is no real way to make sure gifts are sent sadly. You just make rules and hope people stick to them with the threat of not being able to participate next year.

Can we get a list of people who are excluded? I would consider taking up the gantlet this year if I can get that info. Maybe some coaching from some one who has done it before.

It worked great for me last year, and I was able to do some detective work to get my person some cool things. I'm in.

How much work as it to run it last year? I would be willing to run it too with some tips from a previous CEO of Secret Santa.

Also purported non-senders could be linked with each other... hehe

You could always require a $20 paypal gift to the administrator in order to participate to be returned if your gift gets sent out, and if no gift is sent the person who gets screwed gets the $20.

Meh, that is too much work. I think for the most part it worked out okay. I for one wouldn't want to be in charge of dealing with the paypal deposits.

Might be, but it's quite equitable.

Might be, but I wouldn't want to deal with all the potential paypal disputes.

You'd have to make them gifts to one person everyone can reasonably count on to avoid that. Anyway, the current honor system works well enough. What was last years welch rate anyway?

it's was pretty time consuming and took over 40 hours. 5 packages got lost, 2 went MIA. MR325 filled the gaps with his own $ and product.

                              I have filled in deutschman.
you do get a lot of private info and you need to be very careful with it. double and triple checking typos is a must.
