What about the X3s? Have you had the chance to try those out? I think they are awsome.

Damn. I didn't even realize there was an age limit. Shit. Anyone want to buy my older models?

yea, my dad is the one in the family driving the e28.
Side note: e28's kick serious ass. Having my e30 for the weekends for spirited drives and an e28 to go to work in must be heaven for my dad :)

seriously. If I had to buy a new car, which I doubt I ever will (for myself at least), it'd be a speed IS300. The handling feels just as good as modern BMWs for less money; great aftermarket support, fucking sexy (IMHO of course); and the argument for Japanese reliability is always there

I'm not trying to jack this thread, just stating what i'd buy that competes with the e46...

Sex on wheels. How can you wrong with a car that looks that good?

I've always wondered if they make aftermarket NORMAL tail lights for it. :D

Erick, I have. Nice and light. Styling isn't everyone's bag, but it gets less ugly everytime you see it. I'm not sure on weight, but it seems about the same handling wise as a 5 series. Not bad, not excellent space, more than a wagon it seems, but less than a X5. Definately a good idea tho. A mid-size SAV should have been out a long time ago.

I also got to drive a 5spd manual X5, a rare find. It was cool. Only the throws were way way too long.

Stu, if you lose respect for every car you destroy racing, you won't have many cars left to like.

Eric, forget premium package, the new 330 Performance Package is where it is at! :D Minor HP changes, but good suspension tuning, and those new wheels are great. Oooh, and the steering wheel is so nice, wrapped in whatcha macall it. But nice, if you get a new 3 series (and it's not an M), definately get a 330iPP.

:? that car does nothing for me, i would never take it over the 3series equivalent whether it be a 330i or 325i. i personally dont like the looks, but i'll stop there since ive never driven or ridden in one

And with those brakes I'd imagine it's not breathing atmospherically

My grandfather had an IS300. I never got to drive it....

Does anyone know if you can simply unbolt the transfer case from an 04 e46 330ix 6 speed and run it RWD? I have a chance to acquire one really cheap. Thanks!

I'd buy the newest model I could afford... for my wife... and she'd probably want an automatic... and she'd probably prefer the IS300 wagon, which actually has an impressive automatic shifter.
