A question for the members in Germany.

How can a 20 yr. old rent an E46 ///M3 or some sort of Porsche for a few days in Germany? Is it possible? Because in the states you must be at least 25 to rent a car. In Cali anyways. Unless of course youre in an accident and your insurance covers your rental. Any helpful tips? Danke. This is for my brother whos planning to go to Germany from Spain where he is studying abroad.

They charge a $15k premium to your CC.
My friend was going to rent a Lambo for a week while he toured France/Italy/Germany/Spain

Probably a slightly lesser amount given the fact an e46 is a cheaper car, but same principle.

        Lamborghini
        vs.
        BMW E46 M3

Bit of a price disparity. hense why I'd assume the premium they'd charge to your CC ahead of time would be a bit less.

Anyways, PM James Crivelllisioopnngdsdsfdingdong (Fuck if i know how to spell it).. he can give you info on renting a car there.

Yeah, I was just assuming that even with the price disparity, itll still be in the thousands. Is it possible for a 20 yr. old to rent a car in Germany? If you know. Marakka? Mikeedler? I shall contact Mr. Crivellissimo. Nah jk, Crivellone. Im part Italian, so I kinda have an advantage on that one. ;) Thanks for your help thus far.

Why don't you just get on the phone and call a rental company in Germany?

Find one on the internet, and call 'em.

That's all I would do, here, if I was going to rent one.

Thats what I was gonna say Low. *LOL*

Renting an e46 isn't a problem. My wife and I rented one for a week for just shy of 200 bux. But an m3..... you'd have to find someone that deals in high priced rentals. There's one here around me somewhere. I know it. But I cant remember where. Someone I know rented a Ferrari for a week about a year ago. I think with insurance he paid 3000.

my best friend rented a Z8 for his wedding car. cost him around 1000 dollars for the weekend. needless to soay, the night before his wedding, we got his moneys worth out of those 18" tires!!haha! Right down the street from me, there WAS a exotic car rental place. It was some rich dude, who would rent his cars-just to make back a little of his money. he doesnt do it anymore though.
I really dont know where you are going to find an M3 to rent though.

                    330Ci for a poor mans M or a 320td so he doesn't go into shock at 1.25 euro a liter for fuel x 65 liters x 1.exchange rate.

True that. I think one dollar buys about .83 euro cent right now.

When I was looking at planning a trip, I resigned myself to getting a diesel 5er for a rental.

Yeah - you'll pay $80+ for ONE tank of gas for an fuel-injected E46 here.

And while it's plenty fun to cruise at 110mph everywhere you go, you'll be filling that tank often.
