91 318is. Was having the car overheat in stop and go so I ordered a fan clutch. Before installing I wanted to check the accessory electric fans. When I jumped the relay (used a multi meter to check voltage) noticed neither high nor low speed electric fans worked. Could someone. The relays click on but the fans don't make a sound. Could someone point me in the right direction. At one point when I jumped them the high speed fan turned on but they aren't turning on now. (Jumped them twice but the low speed didn't turn on ) could I have burnt something out checking the fans? Do I just need new relays? Please help .
