Help an east coast kid out.

i'm gonna be in San Diego on the 17th of this month.. need to get to LA on the 20th. should I catch a greyhound bus, or is there a better option.

btw.. who's in LA and wants to hang... i'll be there for 10 days.

It's less than 2 hrs drive if you can catch a ride with somebody; or theres also an AmTrack train that goes between SD and LA. I'm in Long Beach which is just south of LA.

The train will be faster, cooler, more comfortable, and probably easier than the bus. Hell, it might even be less expensive too.

Dear GOD please don't take the bus. I promise you will hate every waking microsecond of it. I took a Greyhound once and I'll never do it again, I don't care if someone is tickling the back of my throat with the barrell of a Desert Eagle.

i've been halfway across the country on greyhound, i know what i'm in for...

you can't really argue with a 15 dollar ticket.. but i'll definately look into amtrak as well.

so who wants to show me the west coast beaches whilst i'm out there?

              I'd suggest the train.

I also noticed your avatar. Tons of skateparks out here.

any concrete bowls around? ... i'd be way into hitting some of those up, if anyone cares to take me to a park... i don't have a way to get around while i'm out there...

for a second there I was really worried how you were going to end that sentence...

Yea, if you're ever going to say no to two things in life, it should be:

                  1.) crack
                  2.) grayhound

I've tried grayhound - and I still feel dirty just thinking about it...

Amtrack is cool though....Espically the trip from Santa Barbara to San Fransisco...aweviews and you get to go thru Vandenburg Air force base...amazing to see all the lunch pads and silos(spelling)

This place is almost in my backyard. My son is there a few times every week.

If you ckeck out the skateboard photos, my son is the little kid wearing the adidas shirt.

why are you comming out to LA?
if you feel like comming further north to the best part os Cali (somewhat joking here) you can come by Santa Barbara, its a sweet place to kick it.

                      Take the train... 8)
or bother one of these guys in SD for a ride back up to LA, I am sure someone will help you out.

i'm coming to LA to perform with the LA Philharmonic... doing a really cool opera that a friend of mine wrote.

i wish i had a chance to get farther north, but i've got crap going on everyday..

as for the parks, i'll definately bring my skate stuff and see if I can't make my way to some sick spots.. i'm not much of a street skater, just an old pool kid.

                          rock on.

tons of concrete bowls. If that's your thing then check out Coronado, Poway, or Ocean Beach (robb field). more info can be found at socalskateparks.com

I work a pretty regular M-F 9-6 schedule but if you're going to be around during the weekends i'd be happy to session with you.

Also if you're lacking rides, the public transport (bus/trolley) in SD is pretty decent. You can even plan your routes here:
