    Need some urgent help, got a part I cant identify...

    Im about to put the engine back in the car and had this bracket in with my transmission bolts. Not sure where it goes.

    Help guys!

    Haven't you ever seen Russian Nesting Dolls? They work like that.

    Its driving me crazy. I looked everywhere and cant remember what it does.

        Cleaned it off, and nothing stamped on it.

        I put it in a ziplock bag with other trans parts, I'm pretty sure it goes near it.

          Manual or automatic?

            Maybe its the bracket that holds the exhaust in place on the bottom of the transmission.

                  It was a auto, just converted it to manual while the engine was out.

                  Motors back in anyway.

                    I was thinking maybe the support bracket from the intake manifold to the valve cover?

                      I think I have figured it out. I believe it's the dipstick tube holder. It sees to fit there perfectly.
