Gah, rallycross looks ridiculously fun. Only place you can slide around as much as a vintage race car does, but also feel like Stig Blomqvist doing it! Must find a way to try it.Interested in vintage cars? Ever thought about racing one? Info, photos, videos, and more can be found at www.michaelsvintageracing.com!

Which race at Lime Rock? Labor day weekend? We go every year and bring 4-5 cars. Not one of the events I ever have a chance to drive though :(
Glad you had a good time though! Gotta keep the youngin's interested in old cars so they continue to have caretakers!Interested in vintage cars? Ever thought about racing one? Info, photos, videos, and more can be found at www.michaelsvintageracing.com!

My boy will be 19 in a week and he is full throttle on his love of vintage. The best thing I ever did, well one of the best things I ever did, was get him the E30. He is crazy in love with it and all old cars.
I am really happy he is learning his way around an engine and all parts that move; I think it is what will enable him to pursue the love and afford it.sigpic

I completely understand how your son feels. When I was 14 or 15 I bought a 1980 Triumph Spitfire and completely rebuilt it over the next few years. Working that much on something really helps you respect it. Luckily for him, an E30 is a lot easier to work on than a Spitfire!Interested in vintage cars? Ever thought about racing one? YES, working on them creates a deep . . . weird . . . bond with the car. Lets just say my kid is definitely a fanatic, in every aspect. Cars are his drug of choice! No complaints from this Mom;)sigpic
