I'll see if I can get a better picture. My girlfriend heard the collision and ran outside as the person was backing up from my car. She said it was a older burgundy car. Like early 90's, don't know how sure her info is because she's not in to cars and looks at colors and shapes

This is exactly what I have nightmares about I also park my car on a busy street. Damage doesn't look too bad should't be hard to fix it up. Try to keep your car in a garage/driveway if you have one. Good luck on the repair and finding out what kind of car that piece of trim came off of likely to be someone in your neighborhood.

Yea I usually don't leave it in the street if I don't have to. I've been scouring the neighborhood all night :)

Bum deal. Is she sure it was the burgundy that hit? The scrape looks white or like it didn't leave paint behind. Also it is pretty clear that something very strong, low and pointed hit above the scrapes, not likely another car's bumper, more like a snow plow or salt sprayer truck.

That trim you found doesn't really look like bumper trim, not stock stock anyway. maybe a gaudy after market piece for a cutlass supreme but there can't be too many 90s burgundy cars driving around your neighborhood, just look for them.

You should probably give Loki his broken armor back.

But, seriously, I have been around many different cars my whole life and never seen trim like that. Unless as stated, AM.

Also, think its too low for any run of the mill vehicle. Should be easier to find.

Good thing you have key chain lanyard to remind you to KCCO...

Hit and run sucks but the damage looks easily repairable. Given the ever rising prices of E30's it shouldn't be hard to get your insurance to cover the cost of replacement parts and a paint job.
