ZHP for an OEM+ theme but I'm keen to try out the weighted Condor Speed Shop with my dibed shifter.

I've grown quite partial to the jaffster. Even though it looks like a butt plug.

drilled the hole smaller than the metal portion, used some wiggling and downward force it doesnt budge unless you really but some work into it.

Ah just a press fit, eh? Is that how the OEM nobs attach as well? or do they fit into that little notch and lock in somehow?

they are normally press fit, along with the notch to eliminate turning on the axis of the metal. I would recrommend my knob, cheap, feels great, and diy. I didn't even have a sealant or polyurethane, so I melted candle wax, added vegetable oil, and applied.

I'm fond of my butt-plug jaffster knob because I like to shift with my palm rather than fingers + palm like a regular shift knob.

hmm... I have access to a lathe and can easily get aluminum or stainless, perhaps I could try making my own.

I had a UUC RK2 in stainless steel a long time ago. I loved it except for the set screws always coming loose!

I've had a few ZHP knobs which are always a good choice!

I have a UUC weighted knob, absolutely love it. Except when it's super hot or cold out, at which point driving gloves are very helpful.

I've been trying to figure out how to mount one of these in my E30 but getting the height and angle of the pistol grip in a reasonable position is a PIA.

If anyone has pulled it off please share.

Agreed in the pistol grip. In the E30 I have the Whalen Shift Machine. Love it.
