i think with most of bangle's designs they are much better in person then in pics.
I completely disagree. Everyone says that, yet i've neverfound it to be true...
this this sort of this it is all opinion what looks good to you might not look good to me.
I hated the new 7-er and the z4 but then I saw them in person i loved them i guess they grow on you. Now dont get me wrong I dont like the way BMWs are comming out of the factory I am just saying they are better looking in person.
I haven't seen any of the new 6 series. I did see an old 6(somthing)csi the other day, and boy it sure looked old. Wanted to kick the people that(didn't) take care of it.
I agree completely with that. The e30 is such an amazing car and it is hard to imagine for example, the e46 330Ci, in its 16th year being as popular as the 1988 e30 m3 as well as being as drivable and capable in its old age compared to the new cars of that time. The e30 is a proven car and obviously that's because it's had time to be proven, but the e30 m3 was the winning-ist car in racing history if I remember correctly :?: , and although turner motorsport’s e46 330i is doing good, it is nowhere near making history like the e30 m3 did in it's day.
but back on subject, i actually like some of the designs that bmw is putting out now. The z4 in my opinion is a sweet ride. As is the e46 m3. I have yet to see the new 6-series, but from pics i like it. I do; however, have very mixed feelings about the new 5-series.

It is hard to imagine the e46 330ci being as popular in its 16th year as the e30 m3 is now. However, it's not hard to imagine the e46 m3 being popular in 16 years. I know I know I would buy one in 2020.

No you wouldnt..... imagine how much you would pay on electronic parts for an e46 m3..... saying "fucked up my clutch in my e30 M3" isnt the same as saying "oh I fucked up my whole entire SMG on the e46 M3, and OH SHIT 16 years passed by and I have no more warranty"
I could see parts for the new cars getting mad expensive as the years pass by.
i agree that parts are going to start going way up for all the electronics in the new cars and another thing is that it doesn't seem like the newer cars will even last as long as the older cars. There is too much stuff to break and go wrong and when one electronically controled thing breaks, it seems like it always breaks something else as well.
to me, a cable running from the gas pedal to the throttle body is much more reliable and easier to work with than the electronically "drive-by-wire" bs. That is just an example of things in the future. What happens when your electronically controlled throttle gets stuck at WOT because of old computer parts, 16 years from now. Well, i guess that scenario is a bad example, becuase that wouldn't be much different from if your throttle cable gets stuck when you're at WOT...but you get my point. More complicated things to fix in the future.
saw one on the freeway also today. i feel inlove. looked great. ryan are you in SB right now?? i was out in oxnard when i saw it. might have been the same one.
I was headed back from a short trip to Ventura around 3pm today, it was going south on 101 towards oxnard, I saw it in Carpintera, so there is a good chance it was the same car.
There are not many around, so I bet it was the same one...
