From the pics it just looks like simple sheet metal work to the pans. Nothing structural. I wouldnt be deterred from it.

If your going to be using it as a track whore I would keep looking, But if you just looking for a little beater to screw around in and drive into the dirt then go for it. I'd say that car isn't savable because the amount of work it needs, I'd buy it as a cheap daily and drive the shit out of it.

It all depends on how much you want to put into it.

Me, I stray away from rusty cars. BTDT. Find a good bodied car with a blown engine, trans, etc. If it's cheap enough, buy this one, then find a shell and transfer all the components over.

If the rust bothers you, dont go for it. There are plenty of e30s for sale out there, its worth it to get one in good condition.

If it's on the frame then it's not really saveable unless you really wanna go balls deep into the project.

I fixed my car and it appears that one is equally rusty. As long as the frame rust isn't serious, I'd buy it, fix it, and use it as you intend. The floorpans are no big deal. Often I think folks get more worried about rust than necessary. Around here it's nearly impossible to find one that's truly rust-free, so I buy them and make them rust-free.
