    Hi everyone !

Hi everyone! I'm new to posting on forums so I'm sorry if this is rude of me to do. I'm really not the guy that just asks for help and never gets involved again.

In fact I would probably know some of you if I wasn't broke (I would be at southeast meets but I'm not confident in my cars ability to drive far distances).

So first off I'll start with what kind of car I'm in :The door sticker says
    BMW 325 - 2 07/86 BUT my VIN indicates 1987.
That makes me curious if maybe this car has some odds and ends that are from early and late model stuff.

As far as mechanical condition goes instead of a huge wall of text I just made a HD video to show you guys what it sounds and looks like. The paint isnt much to look at, someone just sprayed it. Poor Lachssilber :(

Thanks for any advice and/or criticism. I hope to get to know you guys and become a productive member of the community!

They have been adjusted by 5 different people and it still carries on. Cold and hot.

That doesn't mean they were adjusted properly, has anyone tried setting the clearance at the cam instead of the valve?

nope. you have a basic run on the mill, low end eta. crank roof. 6 button obc. basic radio. bottle caps.
i have a similar one and love it for DDing.

my advise is keep is as a meh condition car. bc any mod you put on it wont bring the value up. get a good non-ebay chip. HR sport springs koni or billy shock and refresh all the bushings. and then drive her into the ground.

if you havent already DO THE TIMING BELT and get the late model cam and intermediate shaft pulleys.
                  Much wow
                  I hate 4 doors

I still think the clearances are incorrect. A worn out bmw valvetrain can be tricky to set properly-ish if you don't know what to look for.

The fact that that noise quieted some backs up my position.

It's not that I've been bullied I've just seen others treated unfairly and I decided to just not put myself in the line of fire. I just grew some balls I guess.
