anyone else combating sub-freezing temps with a winterfront?

Watch your temp gauge like a hawk! I over heated my m30b34 being too carless with cardboard. I used the bad experience to upgrade to a b35.

Seems like this could have some serious repercussions in stop and go traffic. My car seems to be coming up to temp fine here in NY, is there something else I should be looking out for?

Never seen those before. Would be nice if they had a lever to open and close like dash vents. How did you come about those?

I've changed my thermostat twice now, and it only gets up to 1/4

Half the radiator is covered. Really annoying.

My car never even reaches 1/4. Even in 70+ weather. Hmmmm

Measure the actual temperature. I've found that 80 degrees on the stock gauge doesn't even reach the first hash mark. Blocking off your radiator isn't going to change that. A 92 degree thermostat will get it to point basically straight up according to my old S50US.

I can't help wondering if they changed the sender at some point?

And this is on all three of our driving E30s.

Have you ever hit your needle on accident when removing the cluster?

I did that and didn't realize I pushed the needle which made 1/4 actually 1/2.
I had to remove the cluster again and adjust it.

I painted it, but I don't think it moved. Maybe it did? Where should the needle sit when the cars shut off?
