    More magazine scans (325is, 325iX)

I've just added some new magazine scans, one of a 1987 325is and another of a 1988 325iX (both are from Car and Driver). Eta owners should check out the '87 325is article, there's a sidebar about the Veloz chip/cam/diff upgrade:

Why do they talk like the "i" is an upgrade to the eta engine, when it´s not

325i is the next step after the euro 323i,
Eta is just a temp replacement before the 324TD

temperary replacement? how many years were the eta made? more than "temporary". and i believe there was no 324td in america. and for that matter 323. so in american the "i" motor was an upgrade to the eta.

For an America, an i is an upgrade to the eta.

Oooooh, I remember reading that 325is article YEARS ago. Still have the mag somewhere in my basement. It was that article that caused my dad to start saving his pennies for a 325is, which I of course drive today.

Brought back some memories right there. Thanks!

Old car magazines :D. I get em from friends, coworkers, or on eBay from time to time.

C'mon Gunni, it's an American magazine! We never got the cars like the 323i.

No problem Jay. It's funny, when I was about 4 years old, my dad brought home a factory brochure for the brand new 1985 3-series. It was the first car brochure I've ever read and I kept it for a long time. It got lost while moving, but recently my dad found it again. Funny how that dog eared and half torn brochure was a sign of things to come ;).
