    DTM Importers

So... i've been tossing an idea around in my head for a while for a project and what i really want is not going to be found in the US. The centerpiece of my project would be the 535d motor. There are like 3 shops in my area that do JDM importing, but that doesnt help, so i was trying to get a fix on someone that i can look into for halfcuts or motors from europe.

Probably just too crazy and expensive an idea, but 400lbft of torque and 35mpg... c'mon

eh i *could* look.. but you are definetly wasting your time.. Thats a brand new motor that still costs a fortune.. I mean, where are you gonna get a fuel pump that pushes out.. what is it 2000bar? just stick with us stuff. diesel is Le suck. I know, i own one.

well diesel has come a long way, my friend's 2003 golf tdi is absolutely amazing, other than a slightly unusual exhaust note, it drives just like a gas car, if not torque-ier, and gets more fuel economy than those p.o.s. hybrids. AND were we're just on the side of getting the time to start and we'll be brewing bio-diesel from the friar grease of our local fast-fooderies. So its an unusual undertaking, but i think building up a performance diesel hot rod will really shake things up at the car shows down here in so-cal.

But yeah, maybe another option than the 535 would be better.
