Finally got to buy back my IX I sold in 09. Definitely paid the price to get it back in my possession but worth it in my opinion. Needs a little TLC but the guy I sold it to took very good care of it and put some time and money into it.
I had buyers remorse for about 20 minutes. Then he handed me the keys and I pulled out of his driveway and got a giant grin on my face. Couldn't be happier.
Got to drive some snowy roads this afternoon. Brand new snow tires on it. Slides through the corner like a dream and pulls like a train on the exit. So happy to be back in this car! Now I just have to lose some weight so I can climb in and out of it easier. Got married and let myself go.
Awesome! Btw I don't know if u still have this issue w ur turn signals not clicking back making right turns, but when I installed my alpina wheel over the wkend I cam across a post where u mentioned u had the same issue. I realized the tab on the back of the momo hub wasn't positioned correctly. I repositioned the steering wheel so the tab was at (3 o'clock) and the signals retracted properly both left and right.

Yes this issue is still there. I plan to tackle it one of these days. Do you happen to have a picture of what you found?
i don't have an actual pic, but this tab should be at the 3 o'clock position on the back of the wheel.
When i initially installed my Alpina wheel and momo hub, i didn't realized the steering wheel was bolted onto the hub incorrectly. That little tab was set at a different position (i think 12 o'clock). So when I'd make a left turn, it only took a 1/4 turn for the turn signal to click, and retract back. When making a right turn, it wouldn't click & retrack back unless i turned the wheel 2 full turns. I knew something wasn't aligned properly.
I just removed the 5-6 screws that held the steering wheel to the hub and repositioned it. Problem solved.

hopefully that is what is wrong with your wheel. i have also had this problem but in my case, the actual switch was broken. there is a spring that returns the trigger in the switch and it was broken in my case.

Sweet ride! Definitely a blast in the snow! Mine is a Zinnoberrot 5sp. I might be wrong but yours looks a bit lower than mine. Are those 16" borbets or 15"? Was there any suspension work? Just curious as some of mu friends bust my chops saying I have BMW's first suv. I'm fine with it but that little drop can make a big difference.
