Edit: I will comment that with a turbo engine like they tested, I would think the heat from the turbo would play a large roll in intake temps, regardless of where the filter is. On a NA car though, it might be a lot different as you don't have effectively a heater in the intake tract.

Definitely a fair point. Would like to know their intercooler set up also and how that affects it. It's unfortunate they didn't do it with an NA car, but thankfully, at least with E30's, it seems like people have come to the consensus that it's not worth it
