    The dangers of gum

So I went to meet a fellow E30 enthusiast Saturday to sell my LS-B Recaro seats and borrowed my girl's truck to transport the seats. Well that was all good and fine but when I got in the truck I helped myself to some gum that was buried in the center console. I started with two pieces but since it seemed kind of "stale" I upped the anty and popped in another two pieces. I was chomping away on that gum for about 20 minutes and all was fine until l left the parking lot after completing the sale, when all of a sudden I started feeling pretty weird and headed home about 10 minutes away. Once on the highway I started to feel worse with increasing nausea, dizziness, headache, and who knows what else. At this point I started to apply my genius analytic mind and thought "hey could that have been nicotine gum"? Now, I don't smoke or chew and so this stuff was kicking my ass to the point of getting so messed up that I puked while driving (luckily there was an empty water bottle to use to contain most of it). I was now in a race to get home asap. I barely made it into the driveway ran in the house and essentially passed out for 3 hours. The after affects of niotine overdose were with me all the next day. Now that some time has passed I can somewhat laugh at the ridiculousness of it.

Lesson learned. Don't f... with the wrong gum.

Yikes. I've always wondered about this when I see the nicotine gum commercials. Why, uh, why didn't you stop to throw up though?

The truth is the effects hit fast and hit me while in the left lane of the highway and I wasnt sure what was going on but knew I needed to get home fast. i suppose I could have pulled to the side but wasnt sure what was next and didnt need the police to show up. I might have been charged with "impaired operation" or have an ambulance called so I opted to get the hell home and hope for the best.

I almost puked after my first cigarette, then I passed out into the bed. I can see how nicotine gum could do that to a person with no tolerance for it.

I've been a non smoker for ~8 years. Recently bought a vape/e-cig for my brother with a mixed pack of pie flavoured e-juice and thought I should take some hits before I gave it to him.

Yep, nicotine can surely fuck you up.
