Much better sans spoiler. I would even skip the rear head rests.
Serious opinions needed M3 cabrio tail

I have a zender wing but i think it could be ruined, where could i get another and are the expensive?
the only reason i say its ruined is cause when I went to take it off it was held on by this black tar and i had to rip the spoiler off the deck now if i were to take all this black shit off it leaves the spoiler looking almost diformed did I really just ruin a rare $400 dollar spoiler?Last edited by ThatOneEuroE30; 02-01-2014, 05:19 PM.Comment

That was a really long sentence.
Pics would tell us more. Start a new thread though, this has gone off topic enough,

After this last week of taking to heart your guizes' input, (thanks a lot BTW...) I am beginning to lean toward either the zender 'sans' carbon gurney flap. OR, just a OEM rubber lip.
Pics, pics.. I'm not in country now, it is the one in avatar though w/regulation size diving boards...(remember: going with M3 fenders,spoil...etc.)it's an E30.......

Just a heads up no matter what you end up going with oem, fiberglass if you want it to look like it was there from the factory it will cost alot of man hours and money if you are not doing the work yourself. Im currently fitting fiberglass m3 flares to my car and I fully expect to be into the 100s of hours just to get it looking ok.

I really appreciate the heads up taco - cheers!
I've done 'ground-ups' on at least 20 cars (vettes & 911s) - turned '73 911T into beautiful 930s cab slant it took 2.5yrs.Just a heads up no matter what you end up going with oem, fiberglass if you want it to look like it was there from the factory it will cost alot of man hours and money if you are not doing the work yourself. When I jump into it, I want to go full throttle! I don't want it taking 1 year, I want to get up early....have a "Must Finish BMW" attitude and not get burned out on it. To do this I must first have a vision. That vision must be accompanied by love for the finished product. The day I finish colorsanding and buffing it out, detailing it for its FIRST DRIVE having the sun in my face, Beastie boys thumpin' as I pull out, knowning that no dirt was swept under the mats...
.... DAMN I miss that.
YEAH BOYZZzzz!
Kinda getting me pumped!Last edited by DzusFast; 02-04-2014, 05:05 AM.it's an E30.......

why not just go with factory metal m3 quarters? they aren't very expensive. last time i checked, they were less than 500/pr. i would think it would be a lot easier to install than glass, no?Just a heads up no matter what you end up going with oem, fiberglass if you want it to look like it was there from the factory it will cost alot of man hours and money if you are not doing the work yourself. i haven't gotten into it yet, but i have a pair of oems that i am going to install on my cabrio (not the one in the sig). personally, i think the metal parts add a bit of legitimacy to the project.sigpic

It is however sourcing the rest of the bumpers, side skirts makes it much more expensive. While with the glass I spent I believe 8-900$ for everything. Plus its going on a car thats going to be driven alot, I dont need the oem stuff :)why not just go with factory metal m3 quarters? they aren't very expensive. last time i checked, they were less than 500/pr. i would think it would be a lot easier to install than glass, no?

well, that is certainly truth. i was lucky enough to stumble across a complete roller parts car for my project. finding an oem front bumper is like trying to score a marriage proposal to a victoria's secret super model.
with that said, does that mean the fiberglass bumpers and such won't fit oem m3 quarters?sigpic
