All very true, looking forward to seeing how it unfolds. I think the heat will see some reliability issues come up with KERS system and their new cooling systems . . . As for the turbo we all know they don’t perform so well when hot.

For Nico, this is the time for his peak performance. His radio talk about maximizing reliability was telling, and his father became WDC through reliability. IIRC, Williams said he scored higher on driver technical tests than any other they had tested.

Just quietly it did. We were all very eager to hear the F1's on track for their first practice. This was promptly followed by disappointment as they sound like leaf blowers!
From turn 3-4 you couldn’t even hear them on the main straight! When the Red bull RB8 hit the track you could hear this no matter where you were.
The Carrera cup cars and V8 touring cars are sound better from my opinion. Will be interestiing to see if they do anything to adjust the flat sound they now have.

Yeah once in a lifetime experience to drive on a F1 street circuit.
We had two sedans and two wagons, I hope to do it again next year if the opportunity is still available. I got onto it through one of the guys I've raced with and also supported at race meets.

Mark webber commentated on aussie channel 10. Was this a one time gig for the home GP, or is it his evening job when not in the p-car?

I would just download a torrent a watch it like i used to but I live in Germany now and it is impossible to download anything here. Is there somewhere you can stream a race replay? same as you would stream a movie or tv show online?

Also Contrats to Daniel Ricciardo on his 1st podium finish!! and At Melbourne!! Awesome.

Watching some on board laps now with telemetry and all the merc teams are shifting at 11.3k for the most part and Renault teams at 11k. So do they really have another 3k rpm left in developing the engines. Anyone else see what kind of revs boost the cars are at? Also sounds like the merc engines are running higher boost as the whistle is much louder, but that probably isn't the best way to determine pressure.

Red Bull were not the only team reporting issues with the flow meters...

RB were told in race to lower fuel rate and ignored the stewarts....... hmmm. Perhaps Dietrich was not pleased about his number 1 driver starting off the year 18 points behind riccardo. Just sayin..... Race was so so.

Ever wonder if teams who are far superior could actually get less money from sponsorships than a good team always in the hunt..... Point being rosberg had about a combined minute of tv coverage as he was never in a battle, Williams and McLaren probably got an hour of coverage combined. If I were a sponsor that amount of exposure is what I would want..... same thing happened to vettel last year after the second lap of just about every race.

I read the TV guides for channels I dont get like ITV, Eurosport, BBC then find bootleg links to them online when they reair the races. Not as good as a youtube/torrect solution but the price is right.
