Post close up pics of any rust areas.
She doesn't look bad at all. Hard to say over the internet with dark low res pics. But from what I can see so far looks like it is worth working it (ie, don't go looking for another chassis).
Check your basic safety & maintenance items and drive the car. As you drive it, you'll learn to prioritize.Leave a comment:

What you have here doesn't look that bad however, you need to take it slow and pace yourself. Many top E30 resto's take years and thousands of dollars. Bringing an E30 back is a labor of love, patience and pride. Keep looking around the forum and ask for help, if not a project such as this will kill your will and your wallet!Leave a comment:

First you need a budget then a general assessment of what the car needs. What can wait & what need immediate attention.Leave a comment:

i would start with this list.o Waterpump
o Fluid
• Tune up
o Air Filter
o Oil Change and Filter
o Belts
o timing belt/tensioner
--------------------
• Brakes
o Fuel Filter
o Injector Cleaning
• engine Cooling
o Thermostat
o Hoses
o Sensors
• ICV and vacuum lines
Top half do now before any heavy driving. (Your basic maintenance)
Bottom half do only if they are non functional. (such as a broken sensor or cracked hoses). Once you get it driving then worry about cosmetics and better suspension.Leave a comment:

Parts to do all of them will probably run you few grand (i only skimmed the list) If you have a shop do all that work, except a labor charge for few thousand as well because basically your entire car has to be rebuild.Leave a comment:

Paint is 3k plus alone if you want quality. That's going to be most expensive besides maybe dent and dust removal, well not more expensive but adds to the overall paint job cost. Instead of reupholstering your seats just drive them as is till you find a nice set at the junker, 2 passenger sides might be the best bet.
And post pics!Leave a comment:

Rust repair can be QUITE expensive depending on the damage. If it's gone too far, it might not be worth saving. Usually cheaper to find a cleaner chassis and go from there. Post pics, maybe it's not as bad as you/we think.
Also, if it aint broke, don't fix it. Cars are VERY expensive to play with.
Focus on safety and reliability things first off. Then cosmetics and mods. If you can do 2 birds one stone and can afford it, then go for it (ie change blown struts with upgraded struts). But from the sounds of it, looks like you're better spending your money elsewhere. I would hold off on the mods if I were you.
Post some pics, and welcome to E30 ownership.

60% of that can be DIY and if you're resourceful you could pay a small fraction of the retail costs. If you want it all done over a week or 2 look to pay top dollarLeave a comment:
