Plasti dip + weaves question

Hi R3v,

Was thinking about plasti dipping my wheels (before anyone says anything, I'm not powdercoating because I know I get bored really quickly and Ill end up wanting to change it up again sooner than later, so I wanted something temporary that I could easily change).

What is the proper technique to doing weaves? It seems as though the tiny nooks will collect excess spray and I'm trying to keep that bubbling / runs to a minimum. I've seen weaves come out very well with this stuff so I know it is possible, but not sure how to properly do it

Anyone with experience with this stuff, please chime in

Never dealt with the stuff before, but from painting experience all I can say is use lots of light coats to avoid runs. Since you'll have to shoot at many angles to get it in all the nooks light coats and patience will be your friend

Will keep that in mind. Another thing I'm worried about is that peppering bumpy finish that happens when people do it wrong

my entire car is dipped, I'm in riverside if you want to see it, but how I did my wheels specifically was getting them as clean as possible, then one thin coat of dip to have the rest stick. but don't do all thin coats because it'll come out bad, you have to put it on to the point where it is almost about to drip. if you need help I'm more than willing to give you a hand.
