Anyone else have problems with Ireland Engineering?

I ordered subframe bushing and trailing arm bushings from them on 2/14/14. I got the auto response confirming my order. But that's it. No shipping notification or tracking. Here we are a week later, no communication from them, and no parts. I sent an email, no response. I've called twice and all i get is a machine saying "we are unavailable. Please try your call later", not even an option to leave a voicemail. I'm a little perturbed. Is this common with them?

I called them yesterday and they said they're moving down the street. So they been busy, but who knows they could've been lying.

They have been moving all week. They have been updating their status on facebook letting their followers know their moving situation.

Yep, moving into a larger shop. First time in a long time so there's lots and lots of stuff. As mentioned, its on the front page of the website that orders are taking longer during the move and contact may be difficult (since we're also moving the computers and phones).. I'm writing this from my home computer and I look like I'm half oil/dirt, new place is looking awesome though.

If anyone is concerned just PM me with your order number and email and I'll get back to you monday/tuesday.

I have never had a problem. If they are moving im sure thats the reason. Give them a few......

But what pisses me off is there was NO CONTACT. How about in that generic order response email they say something about the delays. Or send a separate email to people who made orders.

Great, its on FB for their followers. Well maybe I'm not a Facebook follower of a company I have never used before. I'd like to use them before I "like" them

Oh and my parts were ordered 2/14... the first notice on FB (and there by, their site) wasn't till 2/17, 3 days after my order. The second notice was on the 19th about not shipping out orders received after the 19th till next week. Once again, mine was 5 days before that. I will assume since I have not gotten shipping info, my parts have not shipped, a week later

I am a reasonable and understanding guy. If they would have told me on, say Monday, "Hey, due to this that and the other we can't get your parts out till next week". Fine, it sucks but I understand. It's a clear disregard for communication to the client that irritates me. I am left coming on to a forum to get any answers. What if I didn't use Facebook or wasn't a member here on R3V? Just screw those guys?

This is customer service 101 and I don't think a little communication with the client is too much to ask

I certainly see you have a basis for being angry, and I'm sorry if you feel the customer service has been lacking. I don't get the general emails in my inbox, and yes the move was bound to stir up some issues. We'll talk Monday.

As for customer service, this is me (Not a customer service guy), on Friday, at home after battling LA traffic, before I've taken a shower, holding my grumpy 9 week old son on my chest, just wanting to let you know I'm here and will help you out personally come Monday.

This^, makes me want to buy something from Ireland Engineering, sometime in the near future. I need CAB's for my ix. I will see if you have any.

OK, I can accept that. Thank you for at least acknowledging my frustration and offering to help. We will talk Monday

I have had good dealings with IE. On the other hand I ordered some pricier items from a few well known vendors of e30 specific products that took MONTHS to get shipped but eventually got resolved. I almost cancelled but in the long run my wait was worth it. A week or so sucks but is understandable and isn't that long in my experience.

Yeah, same day I ordered my end links bowtie. I'll just race with the bent one's till they get settled.

The 14th was a Friday, so even if you ordered in the afternoon or earlier, there is a good chance it wasn't even looked at until the following Monday. That Monday was the 17th, the day they posted they were moving. This was posted on both Facebook and the front page of their website.

Making such a big deal about not getting your parts in less than a week is kind of ridiculous. I understand being upset about them not getting back to you right away, but the fact they are moving kind of negates that.
