    E30 touring on ebay.

Seems like a lot of money but not sure if it's worth that much or not.

That's hot. Clean and stock. It's worth that easily here in the US. I wonder what the reserve is.

I wasn't sure if it was worth that. The funny part is that I have never seen a touring in person. Are they rare in the US ? I wouldn't mind have one.

They were never sold in the US, so yes, they are rare. The only ones here are imports from Europe or Canada.

I picked up my touring last year, and hot damn... Wish this would've been available. Easily worth that price. Cherry, unmolested, Diesel, itz the business.

I really, really, don't like tourings, but if I had to get a touring, I would quickly buy this one.

IIRC, that red one on ebay sold for $10K and wasn't quite as nice. It also wasn't a diesel. This is a very cool car.

Ya gotta love Google. Here's the Bill of Lading for this car entering the US Jan, 2014 along with a 325i.

Asi Auto Shipment Gmbh shipped to Ehtan Johnson aboard ocean vessel Virgo Leader loaded at Bremerhaven, Federal Republic of Germany and discharged at Long Beach, California on January 14, 2014. The cargo was described for US customs as 'car . 1989 bmw 324 td s/n: wbaah91070eb23085 1.550,00 kg . 1989 bmw 325i s/n: wbaag61030ea58236 1.550,00 kg freight prepaid . waybill'.

Not legal in California, I'm afraid, at least not as it sits now. See the red and white sticker with the "3" in the rear window? That means the DMV has given the owner until March to complete registration.
My guess is the owner found out he can't register it here as is and decided to sell it rather than deal with the cost and hassle of making it legal here. The 25-year rule mentioned by the seller is is a Federal thing.
