New to the r3vlimited forms

Well hello all R3V'ers. I am coming from the land of Washington state, well particularly Anacortes. I currently drive a 1976 BMW 2002. I know the M10 lol. Not a M20b25 but you know, for a first car Im pretty content. But I was just saying hello and was wondering about the E30 325is. Is the motor in any way shape or form different from the 325i? i know the E has a goofy low reving motor but did they even change the ignition system or anything?
I do plan on buying a E30 in the next few years. I will be most likely swapping/boosting it when I do. Or maybe boost my E10 lol. Thanks for the help guys,

Engine is the same. Difference was in body (trunk spoiler and front lip), different OBC, seats, sound system, mtech1 wheel, LSD and I believe the suspension was slightly different. Lots of people end up swapping out the suspension anyways so it's not really a big deal
