Buying from ebay germany

I'm scrolling through ebay.de and finding all sorts of cool parts that would be allot here in america but are nothing over there. My question is for those of you that do it is How?? Do you buy it and then contact the the seller and hope google translate works

Yea I saw that. Should I email first and ask if they accept paypal and ship to US before buying it?

I have a mate who lives in Germany, so I just buy it and have it shipped to his house, then he ships it to me after I've reached critical mass.

I thought about that this morning and I may just do that an find a fellow forum member from Germany to help me out.

1) Buy only if he has paypal.
2) Email them if the he can ship to USA or just bid on it he might ship it.
3) If you win he will send you Ebay invoice with shipping cost. Ask for tracking number.
4) It should not take more than 35 days to be shipped. Small packages arrive 2-3 weaks.

Yes.

I've purchased from German ebay with no problem before, but IIRC they don't generally like paypal, and obviously not everyone wants to ship internationally, so just make sure they will ship and accept your payment and you should be fine. There's always the risk that problems will arise though, just like there is on American ebay.

GET INSURANCE. The longer the package has to travel, the more likely it will get damaged. Pay for insurance on it and make sure the seller insures it for the amount you paid for it, not less.
