Dynomax is in. My car is now hideous. And I suck at life.

Scroll past the nasty pics to get before and after sound clips.

Alright. My exhaust always hung too low. I was a total pain in the ass when the dude installed my dynomax (and pipe from the cat back) and was very picky. The pipe is a good inch higher. Great.

However, I competely didn't think about how it was gonna look from the side. I had him bend the pipe so that the muffler was parallel with the heat shield on the car (and also with the ground). What I should've done was have him make it so the 'front' of the muffler is a good 2-4" lower so that it would be parallel with the lower line of the rear apron. It completely looks like fucking bullshit asslicking monkey cock. And I have no one to blame but myself.

Here are the pics...I raised the GC's up so that the dude wouldn't freak out when the springs fell out, so that contributes to the hideousness as well.

Man, am I disappointed in myself.

    Sound clips: before and after.

You can hear some rattles in the first (which was a huge peeve of mine), but I pulled all the heatshielding off while he was doing the rear. I'm not yet sure how I feel about the sound - I gotta have someone else drive the car past me.

One day (read: not for awhile), I'll pull the exhaust off and have them bend the pipe again. It doesn't help that the muffler is only 2.5" thick. I shoulda got the bigger one.

    Edit: Vids

I like the yellow sticker on the tip :P

I don't think it looks THAT bad, considering. It looks like the back of the muffler is hanging lower than the front to me, seems if you just leveled it out, it will look fine rather than angling it upwards.

me like the sound of the muffler,

E30's without something hanging underneath the front bumper just distrubs me for some rease and the 318 plastic covers for the bumpers where the side markers are kind a distrubing as in they dont look good at all. :P

Maybe its all because i am too damn use to seeing my car since it has an eS airdam hanging underneath the bumper, who knows.

It ain't that bad. You're just being over-critical like most car owners.

Just got a chance to hear it now that i'm home, sounds damn good!!!!

I'm curious, would it be possible to bolt on an entire M3 exhaust system to an M10 e30 since the blocks are similar??? I've never looked to see if the exhaust ports on an M10 would line up with an M3 header.

you should just paint it all black. then it won't stick out so much.

I really doubt an s14 exhaust manifold would bolt onto an m10 head. S14's have "figure 8" shaped exhaust ports, no?

yes they do... and I bet an M10 would run like SHIT with an S14 header on it... seeing as its so big in comparison, you would loose a lot fo torque from the M10...

The muffler tip actually sticks out about the same as my old OEM unit did. I think it just looks funny cause it's installed so wierd.

                            Yeah, apron later.
