    What is a beat up 88 325 worth? Is it an super-eta?

    Well I need to get an e30 - I think I'll just get an beater for now...

    M3 Ryan help me get a line on a 88 325 2-door 5-speed 135k...it's beat to all hell from the sounds of it(haven't see the car yet...maby this weekend)

    It's got a
    - crushed fender
    - boken driver side locks
    - broken interior buttons
    - broken horn(better get that fixed)
    - oxidiazed paint
    - some big ass door dings....and the list goes on...

    Motor is said to run good.

    he's asking $1500

    QUESTIONS:

    1.) What should I offer him...$1000?
    2.) Are all '88 325 super-eta?
    3.) Is there a casting on the head/block that shows it's an super-e?

    1.) Don't buy it. You'll put more money into in that you wish you would have. Better cars will come around. They always do. If you insist, $1000 tops.
    2.) Yes
    3.) If you look, will will see the standard eta casting of 2,7 on the block. It should have dual exhaust pipes, the "BMW" valve cover (Not the roundel), and thinner intake manifold runners than the "i", but if you don't have an i there or know them very well, you won't be able to tell this. The tach should redline at 5250 as well.

      Fenders are an easy fix, locks are an easy fix, horn is an easy fix and buttons.

      But again what fender are we talking about and how bad is it?

        I am going to check out the car for george this weekend if the guy comes up with the car... so I will make sure he gets a worthwhile deal. 8)
