When I lost my key, the locksmith was able to remove the trunk lock cylinder from the outside of the car. I didn't watch, so I don't know how he did it.

Remove the rear seat, cut a hole to get into trunk?
Plus you'll be able to fit your skis inside -- especially useful when you own a convertible.

Have both pieces of the key? Good locksmith can make a new one still.

Pop the door cards off and take the glass out? Cant remember if they go too low to access the hardware.

    Keys to Success!

So spring time is starting to come around and it means i can finally take the cabrio out. Only problem is i can't do anything with it:( It's been in my garage for the last 4 months and i'm having problems getting another key.

The previous owner only gave me one key and it was a flimsy piece of shit one that ended up breaking off. I called the local bmw dealer and they said i needed to show them the title or something (guy couldn't speak very well lol). Unfortunately, however, i haven't been able to register it and the PO's title is in the damn trunk with the bill of sale!:(

I thought i could take the drivers side door lock mechanism thing to a locksmith and get another made but i left the windows rolled down:( all of the windows are down and the trunk is locked.

Does anyone know anything else i can try? I really wanna get the damn thing going for the warm weather!

Cliffs: shitty key broke, can't take to dealer, can't remove door lock or think of anything else i can do. can the gods of r3v please help?;D

    Thanks!
