No problem. Lube up your locks good, they tend to get very hard with age and things start breaking Lol.

ahhhh gotcha. thank you for explaining. i was actually curious why my key would turn 45 degrees and kinda stop, but still go the full 90 if i kept turning. i just barely got my locks working at all so i haven't played with them enough to figure that stuff out

E30 locks trigger 2 ways, one will trigger when you partially move the key to the lock position locking the doors normally. If you go a full 90* then remove the key, the door is double locked, the plunger is physically locked and you cannot lift it up by hand.

I'm not saying make a hole anywhere but I'm sure there's a way to get this done.

Op try pulling up the door lock a bit, while holding it try to open the door. My car, even double locked, there would be enough play in the passenger side lock to still get the door open.

Will be home soon to check on that trunk lid lock idea.

In my experience, all of them have this ability. My 88 and a friend's 91 have the caps. You need to puncture the vapor barrier, but a wrench will definitely wind the window up.

I already posted a solution: remove the power window switch, jump power and ground to the harness to wind up the window, and remove the door lock tumbler.

Or, tap into the harness and trigger the solenoids to unlock.
lol I was hoping so. Your idea is probably the best way with out breaking anything. Manual windows FTW
