    new member question.

Hello. Im a noob here so please bear with me. I am purchasing a 1986 bmw 325e next week and have been lurking on this forum for 6 months before I finally made the decision to buy an e30. Lots of great info on here btw. I was wondering what should I offer the guy im buying the car from for his later model is valence. It has one cracked fog light lens and missing the spoiler/ lip. Otherwise its in ok condition. Thanks.

Yeah, you should offer him half a bitcoin.

Seriously though we need way more info then that to tell you what to offer on a 25 year old car.

Sorry. I have the car just need to smog and register it but he has another vehicle. The IS sitting in his yard. I think I got a great deal and tried to get him to throw the valance and required pieces in for free. The car starts up well with no funny smoke and drives great. Everything works great with the exception of a warning light for the brake lights and the oil change life indicator needing to be reset. A/c needs to be recharge and there is a dent in the front fender but i got it super cheap and with a guarantee that if it does not pass smog I can get my money back. Thanks again

That's the law, right? I would hope that's part of the deal.

Late model valances sell for $100-150, on average. You also need the brake ducts, fog lights, front bumper, and of course, the rear bumper.

Make sure you understand how difficult it is to swap the late model rear bumper before you pay any money for the front setup.
