automotive manufacturer family tree??

Is there a picture or something like it that shows what manufacturer ownes what and how?

Kind of like the GMC-------chev-----saturn etc etc.

not a picture that I know of, but it wouldn't be hard to make one...

GM= Chev., GMC,Cadillac, Pontiac, Saturn, Buick, Hummer, Saab, Holden, Olsmobile, Opel, Subaru?...

Ford= Ford, Lincoln, Mercury, some Mazda, Volvo, Jaguar, Landrover, Aston Martin...

Daimler Chrysler= Dodge, Chrysler, Jeep, Plymouth, Mercedes, Maybach, Smart...

VAG= Volkswagen, Audi, Porsche, Seat, Skoda, Lamborghini, Bugatti, Bently... Porsche is kindof an independant, but pair with VAG on many things, and actually own part of VW.

BMW= BMW , Mini, Riley, Rolls Royce, Triumph...

Nissan= Nissan, Datsun, Infinity...

Toyota= Toyota, Lexus, Scion...

Honda= Honda, Acura...

I'm sure I meesed a bunch, but it's a good start. Obviously everyone has been with everyone in bed at one point or another, for example VW is getting Chrysler to build em minivans, Shelby is the Dodge/Ford whore, etc.

i think it was automobile magazine that did a fold out venn diagram a couple years back, the landscape has changed a little. The only big thing missing on the above list is the fiat group.

HAHAHA No way in hell would Ferrari be bought by Ford. They would go out of buisness before they sold out to Ford.
