e30 Appraisal ?

I'm just wondering, how much would you say the following is worth...

- '91 318
- good body (almost entirely rust free)
- fuel leak
- cloth interior (seats ripped)
- some missing trim
- paint fade

I know these 318s are bare bones, and this isn't the IS either.

Thanks for the feedback. I forgot to mention the paint is faded pretty bad too (post has been edited). It's dull/whitish looking. I was thinking around the 2k mark myself.

I'd pay up to $3500 if it had some maintenance history and the rust could be easily sorted.

I don't have any more details really. I saw the vehicle parked on the road (same spot) for the last month, so I went and knocked on the person's door today. They aren't sure if they're going to sell it or not, so I left my number and said to give me a call if they decide to. I'm just trying to figure out what would be a fair offer to make if/when they do. I'm all for a deal, but they're a young couple with access to the internet. One trip to Kijiji and they'll be seeing dollar signs. I keep seeing 318s going for just as much as 325Is and ISs, which doesn't seem right given the inferior parts. Hell, I saw one guy selling a 325I for $10,500, and I'd give it a 6/10 at best.
