    universal catalytic converter

    ok so I'm a cheap bastard and dont want to pay that much for a catalytic converter, anyone know of a universal one I can use for a 325ic?

    Catco univ. converters are what you want to go for. Try search on ebay or check with your local wholesale muffler shops. I got mine for $80 but never installed it.

      happen to know the catco part number? I was under the impression my cat was dual in/dual out, but a part search said it was single/dual

      edit: does 2912 sound right?

        Back on track. Your cat is dual in - dual out. I'll try find my receipt but i can't guarantee I will...Your best bet is to measure your pipe diameter or someone might post here. I am tempted to guess but I'll refrain from doing such....

        Once you know what diameter you need, u can get the right cat. for your car.

          I am about to do the same thing to my car. My cat sizzles (shizzles?) and smells like egg after a good hard drive. 8)

          Catco's flow alot better so Im hoping for a mild performance increase. I have heard that stock cats get plugged up after a while and restrict the exhaust. You can also buy them here:

            Also, check ebay. They often have dual in/out cats $35-100.
