I'll be acquiring my first Cabby in a couple weeks, and I fear that the owner's manual will not be present, I have yet to purchase an E30 that had one.

I've used the "search" here to see if there's a thread on the operating instructions particular to the Cab's as in operating the top, or figuring if you have a power/manual top. I don't want to assume anything and break something in the process.

I was hoping there would have been a "sticky". If anyone knows of such info, a point in the right direction would be appreciated.

If it's not a 91 or later it's a manual top. They are pretty straight forward. I know I have come across the original how to operate video somewhere on the interest before which also showed how to raise lower the automatic top manually in an emergency.
