Free CarFax Reports (just PM me a VIN)!

I will be happy to run free CarFax reports for anyone requesting them until my unlimited 30-day account expires on April 25th.

Just PM me a VIN number and I'll save the report and post it in http://kommissar.homeip.net/carfax/<YOUR VIN NUMBER>.html as I run them. I'll also try and PM you back with the exact URL to note that I've run the report.

As far as I can tell, there is nothing on the CarFax website that says I can't do this... otherwise I'll have to stop.

I hope you don't find out too many surprises :-D

NOTE: This only works on 17 digit vins for cars made AFTER 1981!

- The letters "I", "O", and "Q" never appear in a VIN.
- The VIN must be exactly 17 characters in length.
- The CARFAX database contains information for cars manufactured from 1981 through the present.

FWIW many other people have had there accounts pulled for doing this. CAFAX doesn't like it at all. Kindda sucks

Yeah that does kind of suck. Well, I only need to run one more report after tonight and then after that I don't need the account anymore - I guess I can take the risk...

Maybe I'll hold off on posting anything until tomorrow.

Yeah, I'm trying to scrub out as much information as possible from the reports. I think I'll make the folder private and then just PM them a direct link to it so it's harder to track.

As long as you keep it low key and PM the #'s etc and NOT try to run 10 VIN's a day you should be ok

Hey Kip. Check your PM. I ran yours on March 28th but I guess I forgot to send you the PM. I've run about 22 of these so I have a hard time keeping them straight sometimes.
