    I guess I overlooked this.....help

I guess I didn't see this when I bought the car... What do I do?

I've see many people cut and weld and grind new engine bay parts to there car, so I need some advice.

Car is clean title, clean car fax, straight frame just this.

I saw this but didn't think much of it...

Pull the engine and cut and weld in a new panel. Its not hard just time consuming and money consuming if you don't have the proper tools. Best of luck with your car, I'm in the same boat as you but far worse.

Same with me dude, the guy said it had 3 spots of rust that he showed me and he had a lift so I believed him. Little did I know there was rust on just about every panel.

Edit: have you checked other rust prone areas? If not do so right away.

Check out Jgood's resto thread, he had to cut that area out and weld in new BMW panels in the same place. His was also gazelle beige originally.

he was lucky enough to get a full replacement panel though. Those panels are now NLA so anyone with rust has to cut fab and weld.

                  Hmmmm.... :/

Well a deciding factor for me was accessibility to the tools.

it's unfortunate; however, it's fixable. like dirty30 mentioned, take a look at jgoods' build thread. he started off not knowing how to weld at all to, currently, being able fabricate pretty much anything he wants on his e30. his thread is really confidence inspiring to say the least.

palm springs, ca? was the car an original socal car? i only ask because most socal cars aren't super rusted.

I'm not sure how to look for that thread? The car has like 0 rust... Only where the paint has came off... All the rust just wipes off basically
