            i got mine made at a local custom rides shop. took about a week, was 150$ candian painted and installed. it has a cutout for draining my oil



            scroll about half way down, thats my plate. look at how low it is... the pan on the 318is is the lowest part of the car. and as to what i hit, my brother drove my car and snagged a speed bump, another time they were doing road construction, it was night and there was a manhole raise about 4 inches above the road, but it was paved into a cone so it wasn't obvious it was raised at night, nor was it marked. and another time a rock fell of the truck infront of me, and there was oncomming traffic...

                I think it is a step in the right direction. But aluminum is bad material for bending stiffness. The key is protection. Steel would serve us better like the factory E30/E36 skid plates.


                I know there is a factory BMW skid plate. But it is pretty rare. But I can fish one out if I needed one, which I don't.
