I think I'm more along the lines of that's just how these pre-E30 BMW's tend to be upgraded than just describing a '02. Like I said, the '02 (which as you know predates the E21) is more popular (and more expensive). Though the E21 spawned off of the '02, they're generally in that same sort of era of BMW. It just so happens that because of this, a lot of the same upgrades look god on both cars. The '02 just gets all the credit because of it's street cred and popularity. I mean when you think 2002, you think 2002. Usually with models like the E21, you think "E21? Just the car that came before the E30. But that E30 though..."
