Maybe you're thinking of the RE050 which is more than 2x as expensive. This is about normal price for the RE040Comment

Sounds like there are some issues with this place though, selling you tires that are out of stock and then trying to upsell you on cheaper tires for a marked up price, and not giving refunds. Any number of similar posts on forums too if you google it.

The RE040 was OE on 1st gen IS300s. Sticky as hell on dry pavement and not very good in the wet, especially once they begin to wear. That will come quickly too, with a 140 tread rating. That said, they're easily worth the ~$260 that place is charging as a summer tire or as a "fun" set to go on a second set of wheels.Comment
