ATTN ALL R3V Members in the West/Midwest (Help me buy a car)

As you may or may not know, I am very serious about buying a car located in central Missouri. I live in Boise, ID. Mapquest estimates that route to be 27 hours on *good* roads. To get home, I'll have to drive through some not-so-pretty conditions, and this it's probably going to take me 3 days.

My route is going to be something like this:

Day 1. Rolla, MO to Wichita KS
Day 2. Wichita, KS to Denver, CO
Day 3. Denver, CO to Boise, ID

I'm working with AAA to get the best route planned out. What I'm looking for you is somewhere to sleep. It can be the floor of the living room for all I care, I just need a place for me, and probably 1 other person to crash out for maybe 6-8 hours one night. The estimated time will be in about 2 weeks. I will update this thread to let you know better about what's going on.

    Thank you,

    Kris Olson

Whats going to happen to your other E30?

I would love to help, but I'm in MD. Sorry dude. Good luck, I'm sure someone on this board will be willing to let you take the couch.

Too bad you are not coming through KC or I could provide appointments. Possibly talk to Kyle (bimmer8604).
            Im now E30less.

Why are you going through wichita? Go from Denver to KC then over to Rolla.

                  Hey I returned your PM.

Mention this on the regional forums on bimmerforums and DTMpower. I know there has got to be a Bimmerhead somewhere in Rolla. Even if they have an E36 they should at least be able to go look at a car.

Post on BMWCCA chapter sites. There are people part of Friends of BMW or whatnot, and mark they can lend a bed or couch for a night, or even mechanical help. These are some good guys to get in touch with.

You could stay at my place.....but I'm too far East to be helpful.

Yeah I contacted the CCA about "Friends of BMW"

Their getting back to me with people in the kansas city, denver, and SLC areas.

My friend that I'm going with wants to do Rolla to KC, sleep in KC, KC to SLC, sleep in SLC, SLC to boise.

That means if we fly in on thursday, we get home midday-saturday.

                        Not too shabby
