    Another Tip Of The Day

When you buy a set of basketweaves to replace bottlecaps, make sure to pick up the wrench to remove the cap. I didn't and last night when I went to change a flat tire, I spent 1/2 hr trying to get the damn cap off (Dooooohhhh!!!). Finally broke it loose with a rubber mallet. Luckily I was parked in my garage at home.

Note to self...pick up a wrench this weekend.

Sorry to hear about the flat tire Mark, those center caps can be tough to get off.

      See you around,

      Kenyon.

I got them off barehanded in like 2 seconds each. Yours must have been put on with an impact wrench! :D

No way, basketweaves look so much better with the center caps on...that is, if the roundels arent faded yellow.

Nope, but they were put on with the correct tool. A co-worker (who used to have an '89 325iS) said that his were easy to remove as well (he would remove them regularly for autocrossing) but that also meant that they fell off or were stolen easily. He seems to think that if they are as tight as mine are, that's a very good thing (except for my particular scenario).

                  Different strokes....

I was able to pull mine off with my hands, just had to put some oomph into it.
