Sorry about that. That's what I meant, but I was on my PSP and too lazy to type the whole complete thought. No disrespect guys.

any other visual differences? im looking for an e30 right now and i had the same questions too, i dont know what to look for and most sellers do not know what they are talking about.

Well, I checked the valve cover and it does have the BMW instead of the roundel, so it must be a B25. Nevertheless, the tachometer does have a 4500 redline. Someone must have changed the speedometer cluster out to fix a problem. Maybe if I run a carfax on it, the truth will be revealed.

Don't know if you've already done so, but you can try going to http://www.realoem.com/bmw/select.do and input the last 7 digits of your VIN. It should tell you if it was an "i" or otherwise at birth.

If the ICV valve is mounted on the valve cover then it is an eta

Carfax tells all.... Its had 3 different odometers in it in the last two years. The last one reads about 25k more miles than the original one had when it went bad. Carfax also said it had the catalytic converter overhauled not long ago because it wouldn't pass CA emissions. Lucky me.
