Actually now that i look at the picture or the lancia to compare, it is similar (apart from the enclosed headlights), but i think what really ruins the benz for me is that the front end is just as "big" as the regular 190E, and isn't proportional to the rest of the car

Now that you say that, I can see what you mean. The front end just looks really long compared to the rest of the car. Maybe if it was shortened a bit it would look better.
