Large exhaust turn up style

Whats it called when you have the exhaust come straight back, turn on a 45, then go about 1 foot up the back bumper?

The reason I ask is I currently have a side pipe on my diesel, and between not having people be able to sit in the drivers rear seat due to soot and having the noise out the side, I have decided to route my exhaust to the back.

I am just trying to visualize with some pictures but I am really blanking now to what they call this rediculious old school exhaust style.

And I also think this came from some automotive anime/comic in japan in the 80's called Shakotan Boogie. The cars were drawn pretty ridiculous, because hey, it's an anime, why not.

Then folks in Japan thought it'd be awesome/stupid/funny and ultimately just became super bored with normal conventions and started making their cars look like something from the animes that they watched.

But I dunno. Maybe I'm just making that [stuff] up somehow.

Point is, it's supposed to be ridiculous and stupid. Then somehow it came here and became cool for the hype (personal opinion)
